Jade Transport is always looking for qualified individuals to join our Green Team. Based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, we haul liquids throughout Canada and the continental USA and have been providing our excellent service for almost 50 years. The majority of our work is long haul, but there are opportunities for regional work. Job training in chemical handling is provided.

Ideal candidates are those who come with a cooperative attitude and a willingness to work. Tanker experience is not necessary, but we do require a willingness to learn.

If you are called for an interview, be prepared to do a Road Test including a Pre-trip inspection of the tractor-trailer.


Driver applicants are subject to Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol testing.

Trailer Technician Apprentice Level 1 or 2

Full-time, shift-work and on call. Must be willing to work weekends.

Jade Transport Ltd. is looking for a new team member. We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated and adaptable apprentice to help us look after our fleet of over 200 trailers. 


We have competitive wages along with a tool allowance. Comprehensive benefits package is also available.


Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • PM inspections

  • Brake and suspension repairs

  • Lights and electrical repairs

  • Axle and wheel end repairs

  • Minor bodywork and fabrication work

  • Tank trailer valves, vents, piping, and gaskets repairs/rebuilds

  • Tire repairs and changeovers​


  • Grade 12 education preferred

  • Some experience preferred

  • Welding and fabrication skills preferred

  • Valid Class 5 required and experience moving heavy equipment preferred. Class 3 or above is an asset.​

A dispatcher will coordinate the activities of tractors, trailers, drivers and owner-operators. They dispatch drivers with loads to utilize equipment and endeavor to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability. Adheres to established plans and schedules while taking into consideration, drivers’ and owner-operators’ hours of service and equipment constraints.


  • Grade 12 education preferred

  • Post secondary education an asset

  • 1-2 years experience in the truck/transport industry preferred

  • Literate in Microsoft office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to learn other trucking software and satellite systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Commitment to customer service and quality standards

  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and work through stressful situations

  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to decipher and communicate regulatory and safety information as well as technical data
